Our office is equipped with a laboratory, X-ray department, sonography, bone density, and an allergy lab.
Most of our lab tests are processed here, but some tests are sent to LabCorp or Quest. If your lab is sent out, LabCorp or Quest will bill your insurance plan or you. If you return another day for lab work, your insurance may charge another co-pay.
If you are coming to the clinic for lab only without seeing your doctor, please call the office the day before to ensure your lab orders are in our system.
Test results are available electronically through the patient portal. Results are available on your portal account 48 hours after your doctor has reviewed the results. You may view your test results online if you have registered for a patient portal account.
In addition, your physician’s nurse or medical assistant will call you if your tests are abnormal, or to report the need for further tests or adjust your medications.
Your physician will review your x-ray while you are here for treatment. Then a Board Certified Radiologist will read the film for documentation.
AFPC also offers bone mineral density test and sonograms.
