Biographical:
Dr. Brister was born in Roswell, NM and raised in New Mexico, Colorado, North Dakota, and California. Before joining AFPC in 1990, Dr. Brister practiced in El Campo, TX and an urgent care clinic in Amarillo. He and his wife, Lydia have four children and five grandchildren. He enjoys music, outdoor activities, and is bilingual. The Bristers are active in their church.

Dr. Brister served as Chairman of Family Medicine at BSA Hospital and on the Family Practice Policy Committee.


Dr. Victor L. Bravo

Biographical:
Dr. Bravo was a staff physician at Winslow Indian Health Service in his native Arizona before moving to Amarillo. He also practiced at an urgent care clinic in Amarillo before joining AFPC in 1998. Dr. Bravo is married to Tonya and they have three children and six grandchildren. Dr. Bravo enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and backpacking.

Dr. Bravo has served as Chairman of Family Medicine at BSA Hospital and is currently on the Family Medicine Policy Committee.

Biographical:
Dr. Tyson is originally from Coleman, Texas where he practiced for three years before moving to Amarillo and joining AFPC in 2001. He and his wife, Sheri, have six children who keep them very busy. Away from work, Dr. Tyson enjoys playing keyboard at church. He is also an avid angler and outdoorsman.

Biographical:
Dr. Bryan earned a PhD and worked as a biologist in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico before attending medical school. Dr. Bryan joined the clinic in 2003. He is married to Becky and has two children. Dr. Bryan enjoys running, backpacking, mountaineering, snow skiing, fishing and rock climbing.

Dr. Bryan served as Chairman of Family Medicine at Northwest Texas Hospital and Chairman of Family Medicine at BSA Hospital. He has also served on the Executive Committees and Credentialing Committees at BSA Hospital.

Biographical:
Dr. Malone joined the AFPC family in 2008. He grew up in Amarillo and enjoys practicing in his hometown. Dr. Malone and wife, Christy, have two children and are active in their church and enjoy time with their families.

Biographical:
Dr. Allman grew up in Dalhart and returns to the panhandle with her husband, James, who is also a physician. They have two children. Dr. Allman practiced at a Family Practice Clinic in Fort Worth before moving to Amarillo and joining AFPC in 2011. Dr. Allman stays busy with her family and medical practice but enjoys reading and traveling in her spare time.

Biographical:
Dr. Leake grew up in Amarillo attending Amarillo High School and Amarillo College. She wanted to return to her hometown to practice and be near her family. Dr. Leake joined AFPC in 2012. She is active at her church and is a member of Faith builders.

She enjoys going to estate sales and antiquing for mid-century modern finds. She also enjoys spin class and spending time with her two French Bulldogs.

Dr. Leake has served on the Credentialing Committee at BSA Hospital.


Dr. Armando Salcido

Biographical:
Dr. Salcido grew up in Amarillo graduating from Randall High School. He always wanted to help people and practice medicine in West Texas.

Before coming to Amarillo Family Physicians Clinic in 2016, he was a Hospitalist in Borger, Texas. He and his wife, Courtney enjoy going to church, traveling, exercising together, and spending time with family and their two dogs. Dr. Salcido enjoys writing and playing music, biking, running and the great outdoors.

Dr. Martin is a West Texas native having grown up in Sudan, Texas. He practiced Family Medicine and delivered babies in Seminole, TX for 5 years before moving his family to Amarillo and joining AFPC in March of 2019. He and his wife Alena, have two small sons and a brindle bulldog. Dr. Martin is an avid golfer, so if the weather is pretty you will find him on the links.

Biographical:
Tonia, a twin, is married to Trae and has four children. Her family is active in The Church at Quail Creek. She grew up in Dalhart.

Before joining Amarillo Family Physicians Clinic in 2015, she had thirteen years experience employed in urgent care clinics, an orthopedic office, and rural health clinics.

When she has time to herself she enjoys running, reading, and gardening.


Allison Bromwell, FNP-C

Biographical:
Before joining Amarillo Family Physicians Clinic in 2018, Allison worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner for several years in a rural health clinic. She also worked as a RN doing Medical-Surgical nursing specializing in surgery which included bariatric procedures and trauma. She also has experience as a Home Health nurse specializing in Palliative Care.

Allison enjoys spending time with her family, husband Cory and her two children. Allison also enjoys watching sports including basketball and football, and gardening with her husband. Allison and her family attend Grace church.


Dr. James S. Spurlock

Biographical:
Dr. James Spurlock was a co-founder of the Clinic in 1978. He served Amarillo from 1979 until retirement in 2017. He continues to serve as President Emeritus at Amarillo Family Physicians Clinic.
