Diagnostic Sonography

Comprehensive ultrasound services — cardiac, vascular, abdomen, OB/GYN, breast, thyroid, and small parts — performed by trained sonographers under the supervision of a specialist with 30+ years of experience.

Amarillo Family Physicians offers a full range of diagnostic ultrasound services performed on-site under the supervision of Chuck Vagrosky, a registered and licensed imaging specialist with over 30 years of clinical experience. Chuck holds four credentials — RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer), RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer), RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist), and RT (Radiologic Technologist) — making him qualified to perform every category of diagnostic sonography we offer. Ultrasound is a safe, noninvasive imaging method that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce real-time images of organs, tissues, and blood flow without any radiation exposure. Most exams take 30 to 60 minutes and are painless.
